Eggs for Hangovers
Eggs are a first rate hangover cure for a couple of different reasons. Most importantly, they contain a large amount of a substance called cysteine, which your body will gratefully receive if you are feeling hungover. After you drink alcohol, toxins linger in your body and make you feel unwell. This is because your liver quickly runs out of an important chemical that breaks down such poisonous compounds. However, cysteine performs the same function as this depleted chemical. As a result, eggs can rejuvenate your body by helping to cleanse you of these leftover toxins. Food and Drinks Rich in Potassium

Both can help prevent you from vomiting shortly after you have consumed any of the other hangover cures on this list.
Fruit Juice for Energy
Any type of fruit juice will help to reduce the severity of your hangover. Fruit juice contains a high amount of fructose, which is a sugar that has an important impact on your energy levels and your liver’s ability to process the toxins that are leftover when alcohol is metabolized. Fruit juice tends to be rich in vitamin C, which is often lost in your urine due to alcohol’s aforementioned diuretic influence.
Asparagus to Replenish
Studies measuring the effects of alcohol on the body have discovered that eating asparagus helps make a huge difference in headache, nausea and lethargy affects of a hangover. It is theorized that asparagus helps to relieve hangover symptoms by replenishing the vitamins, minerals and amino acids that are lost during a night of heavy drinking.

If you do not drink enough water when you are hungover, most of the above hangover cures will not be nearly as effective. After a night of drinking, your body is extremely dehydrated, and this makes you feel ill. By drinking water at the end of the night, your headache and nausea are reduced. Drinking lots of water will help to dilute any alcohol that is still in your system, and this will make it easier for your body to process and excrete the toxins.
Even if you eat one or more of the above foods and drinks, it will most likely be several hours before you begin to feel better. It takes a long time for your body to entirely rid itself of alcohol, so try to be patient. The next time that you want to go out to a bar or a party it would be a good idea to prepare your body for the experience. Eat a meal that is rich in protein, take a multivitamin tablet, and always drink some water or fruit juice in between alcoholic drinks. These small actions can make the difference between feeling slightly tired the next morning and feeling as though you need to stay in bed all day.
